Field Ops FAQ

What happens to TPE in a hot car or RV?

TPE can begin to soften and permanently deform if exposed to temperatures above 40°C (104°F) for extended periods. It can also leach heavy oils, ruining fabrics. Always store in a cool, shaded area or use thermal blankets.

How do I hide a 160cm doll from roommates?

Many owners utilize hollowed-out flight cases, locking storage ottomans, or dedicated under-bed rolling boxes. A lightweight torso is often a better choice for highly restricted shared living spaces.

I am deploying for 6 months. How should I store my doll?

Clean her thoroughly, dry completely, and powder heavily. Do not leave her in bent poses. Suspend her using a neck hook in a dark closet, or lay her flat on a non-staining foam pad inside a breathable bag. Remove the head if possible.

Can freezing temperatures damage silicone?

While silicone is highly resilient to cold compared to TPE, extreme freezing can cause the material to stiffen, putting severe stress on the internal skeleton joints if you attempt to pose her before letting her return to room temperature.
